È un motore 5hp GE 1phase/220v montato su un serbatoio verticale da 80 gal con pompa v-twin a stadio singolo.
La pompa è nuova di recente così come l’interruttore di controllo/la valvola di spurgo della testata.
Dopo 3 anni nessun problema, uno dei condensatori è saltato, il motore non si avviava.

Sostituendo con lo stesso, è esploso all’istante. fatto revisionare il motore presso un negozio di motori elettrici. Aiuta a sostituire la piastra dell’interruttore e il condensatore. Due giorni di grande corsa, ma l’armatura n è completamente fritta (stesso negozio). Mi è stato venduto un motore sostitutivo, Marathon 21.0amp 220v.
Dopo aver verificato il funzionamento della pompa e della valvola di sfiato, è stato installato. L’uso part-time andava bene per una settimana. Il motore non si avvia di nuovo, il motore emette un ronzio, ma non sotto carico.
Motor draws 42 amps when it starts, but you can take the belt off. pump turns over easily too.
with belt on, no start just hum and blow 20amp breaker.
Landlord has done some major construction and elecrical work on this building and next door facility too. but to my knowledge nothing to my electrical box, everything in same place.
It is hard to believe that this motor-related issue has occurred with a brand new motor from a reputable shop. Could an elecrical issue or similar issue have contributed to the repeated motor failures?
How do I check? what do I look for? The electrician who checked the box for landlords said it was fine, but suggested there may have been a problem with how landlord split service recently. Electrician mum inquired about what had happened.

Your 220 may have been spit out by different phases. Some devices care, others dont, so other stuff working doesnt mean it is right.
